Obituary for Sterling R. Saunders
Sterling Randolph Saunders was born to Joseph Saunders and Lena V. Saunders on April 13, 1949. Sterling departed this life and went home to be with the Lord on Sunday October 29, 2017.
Sterling was born in the South End of Boston, MA, and grew up in Orchard Park. He attended the Boston Public School System and graduated from English High School. He attended Roxbury Community College, University of Massachusetts, Boston University and finally Gibbs College where he received his Associated degree in Graphic Design. During that time, he met and married Lorraine James Saunders of 43 years. Together they raised five children: Shawn, Victoria, Chantel, Lisa and Joshua.
Sterling was preceded by his dad (Joseph), his mom (Lena), his Aunt (Wrepsy), his sister(Tina), his brother (Dennis) and his son (Joshua).
He leaves to cherish his loving memory: a beloved wife, Lorraine Saunders; his children, Shawn and his wife Kyanna, Victoria and her husband William, Chantel and her husband Rashawn, Lisa and her fiance Ralph, those he raised, Ronald, Roland, Reggie, Torena, Monica and Diane; his grandchildren Shawn Jr., Tavaj, Tairih and Elijah and his brothers, Joseph, Larry, Gary and Les; his nieces and nephews, Wanda Troy, Justin, Brittanny, Nijel and Dereus and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
