Obituary for Vennetta Francilla Hanley
Vennetta Francilla Hanley was born on April 8, 1951, in Newcastle parish on the beautiful island of Nevis, West Indies to Jose Wallace and Elaine Hanley.
She departed this life in the early morning Sunday November 6, 2022, at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Vennetta spent most of her childhood and young adult years in Nevis, West Indies but later immigrated to St. Thomas U.S.V.I. in 1980. She moved her family to Boston in 1983 where she remained until her transition.
She was preceded in death by her Grandmother Gertrude Hanley, her mother Elaine Hanley her father Jose Wallace, and her beloved sister Jennifer Hanley.
Her beautiful life will forever be cherished by her children Lester, Tamara, and Fadil, Sr. Grandchildren Ashley, Fadil, Jr., Omari, Sydney, Aaryn- Alexis, and Nagasut. Great-grandbaby Eden- Beloved family members: Sisters Elza Woods of St. Thomas VI; Corine VanHolten of Long Island, NY; Charmaine VanHolten of Boston- Brothers Calvin Wilkinson- Wallace sister-in-law Lavern Wilkinson of Nevis, Michael Murrell, Sr. of Kansas, Keithley Murrell- sister in law Corine Murrell and Kenmore Hanley of Boston, MA, Aunt Leontyne Belle of St. Thomas, VI a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and devoted friends.
