Obituary for Steven Lee Ashmore

We are sad to announce the passing of our beloved Steven Lee Ashmore. After a long struggle with cancer, he passed on July 21st, 2022.

Steven Ashmore was born on January 25th, 1956, in Boston Ma where he was a lifelong resident. As a young boy Stephen attended Maurice J. Tobin elementary school, and then attended the Boston Trade School.

Steven spent a few years in the armed forces in the branch of Army. Upon his return to civilian lifestyle, he worked as a plumber and had always maintained his joy and love as a mechanic. Taken time to maintain and assist many family members and friends with fixing and learning about vehicle maintenance was his joy.

The Son of the late Edward Andrews and Stella Ashmore, Steven leaves behind his fiancée Anika Vickers, daughter Willette Tate and son Steven Carlson. Three grandchildren Nate Carlson, Derrick, and Darren Henry.

Steven is the brother of Ronald Chambers, Eleanor Ashmore, Edward Ashmore, Stella Ashmore, Priscilla Ashmore, Lee Chambers, Ronald "Little Ronnie" Chambers, Paul Leshore, Nina Brodie, Nate Andrews, and his beloved deceased siblings, Dana Ashmore, Glenn Leshore, Eddie Andrews, and his best friend who was nothing short of a brother Leviticus McNeil who many knew as "Poor Boy. “

Big Steven as he was known as, was a larger-than-life man who was as tough as they come. No matter who it was he had a passion to put you in your place if you were messing around. His love for family and friends ran deep in his veins and as tough as he could be he really had a heart as big as a mountain for those he loved.
Every part of Steven made him the unique person he was. So as our beloved Steven would always say this is not goodbye, but "Holla."
