John is survived by the following relatives: sister, Gwender Arekhandia (Idosa); nephew, Idosa Arekandia Jr., niece, Aita Arekhandia; uncles: Eddie Mims (Jean), Larry Mims (Jackie); aunts: Betty Williams (Roosevelt), Essie Mims, Mary Mims (Terryl Williams); and a host of cousins. Preceding him in death are his parents, Elouise and John William Pruitt; grandmother, Essie Mae Mims; grandfather, Horace Mims; uncles: Robert Mims and Jerry Mims; aunts, Louise Mims and Martha Williams.
