Obituary for John H. Prioleau Jr.

John “ Uncle Henry” Prioleau Jr. was born on November 12, 1945 in Cambridge Massachusetts, to the late John and Viola( Grant) Prioleau Sr. He attended Boston Public Schools. During his high school years, he was a member of the all boys school parade held here in Boston. John loved to sing and was a member of a
singing group that once sang at Harlem’s Famed Apollo Theatre. John, “Uncle Henry” as he was fondly called by his family was a great cook, singer and dancer. He even played the guitar. John held a variety of different jobs in and around the Greater Boston and Cambridge areas respectfully. His last job, driving disabled children seemed to give him joy and something to look forward to daily.

John was very outgoing, he loved to dress up and hang out with his friends. He will surely be missed by many.
He was preceded in death by his parents John and Viola Prioleau Sr., Son Shane Browning; Sister Elizabeth “Snookie” Halfkenny; nieces Laverne Halfkenny and Marcia Gordon of Boston, MA.

He leaves to mourn: Children: Nicole (daughter) of Boston, MA; Jahbrill of Maynard, MA; Corey, Calvary/BC. Sons: Firlessia, of Maynard, MA; Keisha of Boston, MA: (bonus-daughters); Sisters: Suzanne James (Ed James) of Walpole, MA; Maurice Charves of Dorchester, MA. Paula Overton (niece); Lorry HalfKenny, nephew; He also leaves to mourn, a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. John was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and brother. He will be missed by all.
