Obituary for Joan E. Evans

Joan was born Joan Elizabeth Reed to the late Irene Kendall (Mother) in Boston, Massachusetts April 29 1947 where she attended Boston Public Schools. She also attended Northeastern University, Baystate College, and worked at Massport for nineteen years until she retired in 2001.

Joan was well respected of her Dorchester Neighborhood addressed well known as Mrs. Jones. She instilled health conscious eating habits of her children at a very young age. She excersiced consistent recreational programs into her children.

She loved Legal Seafood Restaurant & Brigham's Ice Cream Parlor with her kids. Some of her favorite pastimes was cooking an assortment array of casseroles and practiced sewing as an excellent seamstress for a hobby. She also enjoyed traveling abroad for vacations and loved music.

She made holidays special for her household, relatives, and neighbors of gatherings, pictures, and memories for everyone. For 75 years God had blessed our mother with love life laughter and we are so grateful to be her son and daughter.

Joan E. Evans (Reed) was a beloved wife of the late Robert Evans Sr., devoted and loving mother of Sharrieff Jones & Malikah Jones.

Grandmother of Katara Jones, Rajaiah Jones, Tamar Davis, and Maiya Davis.
Siblings: Beverly Hammie of CT., Eugene Reed of CT., Melvin Reed of GA., Leon Reed of GA., and Catherine Kendall and Doreen Kendall of MA and Richard Reed of MA

Predeceased by Ruth Douglas, Deborah Gordneer, and Theodora Kendall. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
