Jeffrey was the only beloved son of Edith Louis Clark and James Royster born in Newark, NJ on September 27, 1956. He moved to Boston in 1970 with his family two years after his mother's passing at the age of 14 years old.
Jeffrey attended and graduated from Jeremiah E. Burke High School in 1974. He was a devoted father who started his family in 1975. Jeffrey worked hard to provide for his family, occasionally even working two jobs to support his loved ones. He worked at MGH as a cook and later in shipping and receiving and also competed in basketball leagues with the company team. Jeffrey showed much interest in computers and with encouragement from Antoine Jackson later went back to school and began a career in IT working as a helpdesk technician which he retired from. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, basketball and flying drones.
Even with a busy schedule, Jeffrey always made it his goal to spend quality time with family.
At 65 Jeffrey passed away at home with family by his side on Friday March 18, 2022 after his short battle with lung cancer.
He is survived by his 3 daughters Carica Gaylor, Latonya Gaylor, Vatonja Williams and son in law Willie Williams. His grandchildren Daquan Royster, Ariel Depina, Tyson Santos-Silva & great grandson Daquan Royster Jr. He is also survived by many cousins and longtime friends.
