Obituary for Herman Maxwell Hylton

Herman Maxwell Hylton also known as Max was born at Port Antonio hospital in Portland, Jamaica to Marlene Thompson and Cecil Hylton on May 26th, 1979.

Max spent his early years with his mom, family, and friends in Jamaica playing soccer, basketball, and swimming at Rio Grande. He was baptized at Shiloh Apostolic Church in Port Antonio in 1991 where he also learned to play the ambourine. This is where he would attend church services as it was pleasing to his Godmother.

Max then migrated to England in 2002 where he continued his passion of being a Barber. He later returned to Jamaica where he opened British Cuts Barbershop. Max was well known in the community and held Kutz for Kidz and "Friday Friday" events locally.

Max finally relocated to the US in 2010 where he spent his last days. He spent his days doing what he has always loved, being a barber and a chattabox. And spent his nights being a promoter and celebrity in his own right with his "Flairy Flairy" events.

He loved playing soccer in his free time where he is known as being the King of the Raccoons. He loved the community and formed countless relationships with people that have grown to love him tremendously.

Max enjoyed his short life to the FULLEST! He was always the life of ANYTHING, not just the party. He was known to make any situation fun and exciting. His charismatic personality was infectious so much that you could not stay mad at him very long because he would say something that would make you smile.

Max will be missed immensely by all of the people that have crossed his path in any capacity in his life, and he would not want us to be mad or sad, because he was always smiling, and happy, and ready for the next party.

Max will be laid to rest on January 8th, 2023 in Port Antonio, Jamaica.
