Obituary for Helen R. Bryant

Missionary Helen R. Bryant was born on November 15, 1950 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Katie B. Logan and Matthew Williams. She was baptized at an early age at Rose of Sharon Church in Louisiana.

Helen married Keno Bryant on November 6, 1965 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Helen and Keno relocated to Boston, Massachusetts in 1967, from this union 3 children were born. Helen continued her education and became a nurse’s assistant. Helen was a woman who wore many hats. She enjoyed cooking and baking and was known amongst family and friends for her German chocolate cake.

Helen became an active and dedicated member of Manning Temple. Helen was also a Sunday school teacher, the head choir director, president of the Usher Board. She became a missionary at Manning Temple alongside Pastor Betty Murray.

She returned to Shreveport, Louisiana in 2007 to help care for her ailing mother. Helen was preceded in death by Katie B. Logan (Mother) and Kevin L. Bryant (Son).

Cherishing her memories, She leaves to morn 2 sons Kenneth Bryant (Sandra), Keith Bryant (Akeya), 7 grandchildren, Keisha, Kenneth, Kevin, Kenya, Kaneidra, Keyona and Keith (Bryant), 15 great grandchildren, 2 sisters, Gertrude Cohn of Shreveport, LA, Theressa Davis White (Darin) of Boston, MA 2 Aunts Margie Morris (George), Patricia Powell, 1 Uncle Jimmy Calhoun, Special Friends Jean, Betty, Geraldine and a host of friends and family.
