Obituary for Glaubert Chady

Glaubert “Goober” Chady, dedicated husband, father of two, son, brother, and friend of many transitioned unexpectedly on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at the age of 51 in Boston, Massachusetts.

Glaubert was born on March 4, 1971 in Petit Goave, Haiti to Mr. Joseph Chady and the late Ms. Marie Lossa Jean Jell. Glaubert attended the Lycee Phillippe Jules High School where he graduated in 1990.

In 1996, Glaubert relocated from Haiti to the United States where he began working for Farmers Market until 2000. Then he was employed at Hilton Hotel at Logan Airport as a cook. During the peak of his life, Glaubert was employed at The Four Seasons Hotel for over 18 years and was laid off due to the 2020 Pandemic. Recovering from that, he was employed with The Embassy Suites Hotel until his untimely passing.

In 1998 while working and living in Massachusetts, Glaubert met and fell in love with DeQuandria Frazier. Through this love, they shared much and it became apparent that they were inseparable, and from this love they welcomed two beautiful children, Xavier and Zaniyah. After being friends for over twenty-four years, on Friday, September 9, 2021 they became husband and wife. Although married for a short time, they were inseparable for 24 years, meeting each other at such a young age and still in love.

Glaubert was a quiet man but loved to joke. He enjoyed shopping and cooking. One of his favorite foods to cook was Legume, rice and beans. Although he enjoyed shopping and cooking, there was something he truly enjoyed more than anything, and that was his family. The time shared with his only daughter, Zaniyah was priceless. His son Xavier never wanted to leave his father’s side always wanted to be in his presence. The two would sit around and watch football and basketball all day. Glaubert and his brother, Venel were best friend and had a bond that could not be broken. The love between these two was rare. They were always there for one another. And then, of course his lovely wife.

Glaubert is preceded in death by his mother, Marie Lossa Jean Jell and his brother Godstal Chady.
