Obituary for Everett Eugene "Gene" Schofield

Everett Eugene “Gene” Schofield was born to his parents the Late Eleanor Vivian Schofield and the Late Everett Squire on December 4, 1954. Gene was raised in the City of Boston and was the 3rd eldest of 8 children. The late Diane Schofield, the late James Schofield, Donna Schofield who should have been Gene’s twin by birth as they were certainly connected through the hips by life.

Dana Schofield (Jeanette Schofield), Michael Schofield (Lorna Schofield), Steven Schofield (Doris Schofield), and Kim Abernathy (George Abernathy). He blessed the world with a handsome son Brandon Eugene Schofield and two beautiful granddaughters Shayla and Callie Schofield. Gene found and married his love Theresa Shelton, and they had a wonderful life together.

Everett received and education through the Boston Public School System and later proceeded to obtain his degree from the University of Massachusetts Boston. Ministry, music, business, and law was the heart strings of what made Gene’s world go round throughout his life. While in his younger years Gene took his musical influences he got from “The Jackson 5” and “The Temptations” and created a music group with his siblings called “The Schofields.” You could always catch him with his briefcase readily networking and “taking care of business” as he would say. He always had an eye, ear, and intuition for success advancement. Gene’s law intellect and skill set was so refined that he was offered employment in New York City by the Lawyer of the Late music Mogul James Brown.

In his latter life you could also find gene supporting his Niece Diane with her entertainment Business DVP for several years. Gene had a warrior spirit; he was proudly the family protector and navigator. He was a loyal man of love to his family and was always there when you needed him accompanied with a smile, a joke to make you laugh and a “I got you!”

Gene was heavily inundated by the Lord, and was involved in radio ministry, evangelism, and missionary work for over 17 years. Gene was such a creative at heart, he was a gospel recording artist and made a hit record name “You turned my life around”:, he was also music producer, promoter, and publisher through his own music ministry C.O.G.I.C.E.

Everett Eugene leaves behind to celebrate his life his Wife Theresa Shelton and family, son Brandon Schofield, his two granddaughters, Shayla Schofield and Callie Schofield. He also leaves his siblings, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Everett Eugene Schofield was proceeded in death by his father Everett Squire, mother Eleanor Vivian Schofield, sister Diane Vivian Schofield, brother, James Clifton Schofield, nephew James C. Schofield.
