Obituary for Dennis Battles

Dennis A. Battles of Mattapan, Massachusetts departed this life on November 28th, 2018 at the age of 68. He was born in Washington, D.C. and moved to Massachusetts in 1978. He was the beloved son of the late Agnes and Adolphus Battles.

Dennis is survived by three siblings, beloved brother of Cynthia Walls, FT. Washington, MD., Stephen Battles, New Orleans, LA. and Donald Battles (Valjean) of Brockton, MA. He’s also survived by his longtime companion Elease Davis of Lynn, MA. and a host of Nieces, Nephews and Many friends..

In Lieu of flowers, donations in Dennis memory may be made to Heart Disease or Kidney Dialysis research.

A Viewing will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2018 from 2:00 to 3:00 pm followed by Funeral Service at 3:00 at Riley-Antoine Funeral Home 171 Humboldt Ave., Dorchester, MA 02121

We’re sadden to hear of the lost of our dear brother’s passing. Death is such a stinger and it was never God’s intent for man to feel this type of pain. Jehovah God intended for us to live a wonderful life under peaceful conditions. He loved us so much that he “gave his only begotten son’s life in our behalf.” John 17:3. And his son Jesus Christ set the example for us to follow. That’s why he taught us
to pray for “ God’s kingdom to come” Matt 6:9,10 and all the pain we experience will be done away with one day soon Rev 21:3,4.

Please accept my sincere condolences. Death is never an easy thing to deal with. I have to reflect on Jesus response when he learned that Lazarus his friend had died. At John 11:33,35
We read that Jesus was troubled and that he wept. Some say we must be strong, but can you think of anyone stronger than Jesus? Just think, Jesus has the power to resurrect and he wept over this death. In the very near future Jesus will excercise this same power to resurrect our dear loved ones. John 5:28,29.

May you find comfort in the hope of the resurrection.

My condolences to the family of Dennis Battles. We can always rely on our God of comfort, Jehovah, to help us endure any trials or obstacles, especially the loss of a dear loved one. (2 Corinthians 1:3,4).
