Daryl was his mother’s heart and they had a very close bond. A true enthusiast, Daryl played the drums and was also a DJ who often kept music from Parliament, Funkadelilc and The Whispers in constant rotation, as they were his favorite groups. As a child, he loved to take risks and have fun with his friends, Mike and Peter Handy. After high school, the three of them decided to open a club called the Red Door – which back in the day, was the place to be!

Daryl was a very hard worker who obtained multiple employment opportunities throughout his life. He started working at the age of 16, in the meat department of Stop & Shop; eventually getting promoted to Butcher. He also worked at Sav-A-Lot as a Butcher as well; later acquiring gainful employment with Marriott Hotels as a shuttle bus driver – a position he held for 20 years. On June 11, 2015 Daryl’s life changed forever when he met the love of his life, Victoria Morgan. Of their union, Daryl and Victoria were blessed with an adorable baby girl, Jujuana Mae Landrum. The beautiful couple, married on September 15, 2015 and Daryl’s life long dream of being a husband, father, and grandfather came true with Victoria by his side.

A true people’s person, Daryl was a fun-loving, charming, and genuine man who made friends anywhere he went. With Daryl around, it was bound to be a good time! He had the uncanny ability to keep everyone laughing and smiling with his jokes – so much that it was often said that he could’ve been a professional comedian. He enjoyed spending time with his family, playing spades and riding around in his Caddy. With an undeniable love for people, Daryl was a true friend who was always willing to help anyone in need; he was as loyal as they come! Daryl claimed eternal life on Tuesday April 19, 2022.
