Obituary for Charles Pritchett Jr.

The late Charles Pritchett, Jr., affectionately known as “Junior”, was born on April 10, 1939 in Fitzpatrick, Alabama to the late Charles Pritchett Sr., and Leola (Moore) Pritchett. He was given his heavenly crown on March 18, 2023 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton, MA.

Charles, who recently accepted Jesus Christ, our lord and savior, moved to Boston in 1968, and after a few years of settling in, began his career as an auto technician for Hampton Break Services in Jamaica Plain, MA. One of his favorite pastimes was watching the Boston Red Sox, and the Boston Bruins, especially when his favorite hockey player Bobby Orr was on the ice. He also enjoyed salt water fishing, snacking on sweet honey buns, and spending time with loved ones.

Charles is preceded in death by his three brothers: Rufus Pritchett, Willie Pritchett, Murphy Pritchett; and seven sisters: Mary Lee Pritchett-Smith, Mandy Pritchett-Surels, Viola Boswell, Annie Ruth Henderson, Geneva Pritchett, Mattie Martin, and Hattie Martin.

He leaves to cherish his fond memories: His loving son, Charles Holcombe (Cynthia); stepchildren: Linda Prater, Jeffrey Holcombe, Jacqueline Spears (Curtis); grandchildren: Charles D. Holcombe, Charlesea Holcombe, Chauncey Holcombe, Curtis Spears Jr., Jacqueline B. Spears, and Jaianna Spears; his brothers Johnny (Doris) Pritchett, David Lee (Mary Ann) Pritchett, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and close friends.
