Obituary for Altia Huguley

Arteata (aka Altia or Lil Tia) Nicole Huguley was born in Boston Massachusetts to Gloria Huguley on August 10th,1981. Tia was the oldest child of seven siblings; Michael, Eric, Antionette, Anthony, Kalia and her late little sister Shakeda Price who preceded her in death. Tia departed this life on May 17th, 2022.

Tia lived in Washington DC as a child and spent time with her Grandmother and family. She then relocated back to Boston with her mother where she attended Boston Public Schools. Tia graduated Curtis Tufts High School of Medford, MA in 2000. Tia then continued her education at the Salter School in Malden where she completed the nursing program.

Tia was a loving, caring individual. She was very creative and artistic. Tia enjoyed doing hair, she was an amazing artist and liked to write poems and draw. Tia was a wonderful daughter, sister, mother, aunt and friend who touched the lives of all those she encountered. Tia was funny, Tia was bright but most of all Tia didn’t take no mess from anyone.

Tia leaves behind her 6 beautiful children: Ijanaya Nicole Precious, Danasia De’Symone, ebony Marion, Jaykob Xavier, Lutiana Shakeda and Zion, her mother Gloria Huguley, her beloved aunts Lisa Ann Huguley, Dorothy Johnson, Patrica Allen, her uncle James Allen Huguley.

Tia also leaves behind her Great Aunts of Washington, DC Brenda, Joyce Ann and Cheryl Venable. Tia had a huge host of cousins and friends that all loved her so dearly from both DC and Boston.

Tia will be so missed and always held in all our hearts.
