Luce Pierre-Charles, 91, passed peacefully surrounded and supported by her loved ones on the morning of October 8, 2018 at Morton Hospital in Taunton, Massachusetts. She was born on March 9, 1927, in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, and was the daughter of the late Iram Milord and Louise Audouin.
In 1966, in Haiti, she was married to her lifelong partner the late Edner Pierre-Charles. They had been together for 65 years and married for 47 years. In all, they had 19 children between them. She worked at Jimbo’s Restaurant in Braintree for a short time and had other various jobs housekeeping for a company in Wellesley and also cleaned MBTA buses down in Dudley, Massachusetts.
She has blessed us with 91 amazing, loving, fruitful and fulfilling years on earth. She will always be remembered as a nurturing and caring mother, a loving wife, a genuine friend and an amazing grandmother to all her grand and great-grandchildren. The Lord has called His angel home and now you can FINALLY rest Mommy Luce! We pray that your soul is in Eternal Peace and that you are very happy to be reunited with Papa Ne! WE LOVE AND MISS YOU MOMMY LUCE!
Luce Pierre-Charles is survived by 13 children, 47 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, two sisters, one brother, 13 nieces, 7 nephews, 7 cousins and a host of other relatives.
A Viewing will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2018 from 9:30 to 10:30am followed by Funeral Service at 10:30 AM at Boston Basilica Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church 1545 Tremont Street, Boston, MA 02120
Interment: Oak Lawn Cemetery
